born on the island of Antigua ca. 1800 and emigrated to the US in
August 1832. Settled in Lafayette, Tippecanoe Co., Indiana with
his wife, Sarah (b. 1807 in Ireland d. November 1866 in Delphi,
Carroll Co., Indiana). They had one child, a daughter, Anna. For
